Wesley Stubbings with family children

Wesley's Aboriginality is from his fathers side in the Blue Mountains Katoomba (Dharug and Gundangurra) people.  Growing up in Townsville, he doesn't shy away from sharing about his dark past, having been expelled from high school due to drugs and alcohol. He spiraled downhill into criminal activity and was presented an opportunity by a judge who believed he could change his ways and this 2nd chance was confirmed after he was king hit at a night club at the age of 17 which should've ended his life. With surgery and screws holding his face together, Wesley took this as his 'wake up call' believing it was an intervention from God.

He now uses this as his motivational story turning his mess into his message and became a youth worker by 19.  There he spent over 10 years in the community sector helping young offenders as well as homeless and developed many leadership programs.  During his 20's Wesley traveled to over 9 countries sharing his story and along the way used his creative talents to engage students and children in schools and kindys.

Now in his 30's, Wesley is still as passionate as ever about young people, leadership and helping organizations engage with the Indigenous community.

Wesley has a Certificate in Leadership, Diplomas in both Community Services and in Government and more recently a Bachelor of Business Management.
